In Development
The theatrical films released to date from Mr. Mudd are all adaptations that have been developed by the Mudd partners. Ghost World was an adaptation of the Dan Clowes graphic novel of the same name (screenplay nominated for academy award in 2002), The Dancer Upstairs an adaptation by Nicholas Shakespeare of his chilling novel and The Libertine and adaptation of playwright Stephen Jeffreys restoration period play. With Art School Confidential, Dan Clowes has written a screenplay based on his comic strip of the same name.
Most recently we have optioned the novel Triple Crossing, a contemporary crime thriller set at the Mexican-American border. Triple Crossing was written and to be adapted by award winning journalist Sebastian Rotella.
